The effect with the bright backgrounds and darker shading in the early panels adds quite a lot to the mood, too. I also like how you left Gabby's eyes clear in the second to last panel; you always add the best little effects to give everything more impact!
Gabby's hair looks very pretty flowing so freely in the third panel.
